Fuzzy Linear Programming Method for Deriving Priorities in the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process
Authors
Abstract:
There are various methods for obtaining the preference vector of pair-wise comparison matrix factors. These methods can be employed when the elements of pair-wise comparison matrix are crisp while they are inefficient for fuzzy elements of pair-wise comparison matrix. In this paper, a method is proposed by which the preference vector of pair-wise comparison matrix elements can be obtained even if these elements are fuzzy. First we describe the method for the case of crisp pair-wise comparison matrix and then extend it to the case in which the pair-wise comparison matrix elements are fuzzy, finally, conclusion will be provided.

Deriving Group Priorities in the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process
A new Group Fuzzy Preference Programming (GFPP) method for fuzzy prioritisation in the Analytic Hierarchy Process is proposed. The assessment of the priorities from fuzzy pairwise comparison judgements is formulated as an optimisation problem, maximising the group’s overall satisfaction with the group solution. Unlike the existing fuzzy prioritisation methods, the GFPP method derives crisp prio...
full textFuzzy analytic hierarchy process and analytic network process: An integrated fuzzy logarithmic preference programming
This paper proposes a two-stage fuzzy logarithmic preference programming with multi-criteria decisionmaking, in order to derive the priorities of comparison matrices in the analytic hierarchy pprocess (AHP) and the analytic network process (ANP). The Fuzzy Preference Programming (FPP) proposed by Mikhailov and Singh [L. Mikhailov, M.G. Singh, Fuzzy assessment of priorities with application to c...
full textA Novel Method for the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process
This paper proposes a new method for finding fuzzy weights in the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP), which fuzzifies the derived formulation of an eigenvector directly. The presented formulation only needs information about the upper triangular matrix and the assumption about the reciprocal matrix is not necessary. This characteristic makes the FAHP feasible because the property of recipr...
full textHybrid Analytic Hierarchy Process Fuzzy Linear Programming Approach for Weapon Systems Screening
Screening weapon-systems is a critical task in determining whether a systems development effort will be successful and eventually provide the increased war fighting capability the user had originally envisioned. Weapon system selection is a multi-criteria decision problem that must be accomplished within a constrained resource environment. Several alternatives must be considered and evaluated i...
full textA linear goal programming priority method for fuzzy analytic hierarchy process and its applications in new product screening
Fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (AHP) has been widely used for a variety of applications such as supplier selection, customer requirements assessment and the like. The vast majority of the applications, however, were found avoiding the use of sophisticated approaches for fuzzy AHP such as fuzzy least squares method while using a simple extent analysis for the sake of simplicity. The extent ana...
full textPrioritization Method in the Fuzzy Analytic Network Process by Fuzzy Preferences Programming Method
In this paper, a method for deriving a group priority vector in the Fuzzy Analytic Network Process (FANP) is proposed. By introducing importance weights of multiple decision makers (DMs) based on their experiences, the Fuzzy Preferences Programming Method (FPP) is extended to a fuzzy group prioritization problem in the FANP. Additionally, fuzzy pair-wise comparison judgments are presented rathe...
